What she should understand

A website is not finished when it first appears online. Good website builders test links, check mobile display, fix confusing wording, test calculators, reduce image size and update the sitemap.

Step-by-step QA process

  1. Open every page on the computer.
  2. Open every page on a phone or narrow browser window.
  3. Click every menu link.
  4. Test every calculator with simple numbers.
  5. Check every page title and description.
  6. Check the sitemap URL list.
  7. Check robots.txt.
  8. Fix any spelling or layout issues.
  9. Upload the final version.
  10. Present the website.
